Why does the Bible incorrectly state that the mustard seed is the smallest?

there are many other seeds that are smaller, for example orchid seeds are almost microscopic
Matt 13:31-32: “the kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed which…is the least of all seeds, but when it is grown is the greatest among herbs and becometh a tree.”
*bonus error: mustard plants are not ‘trees”
Hmm… I wonder why that is…
Because the “a” in mustard is suposit to be a “u”.
Believe it or no not.
BEsides that, it says “least”. Where do you get small. Kant you read?
Piaece out. Go plant some orchid seeds.
Perhaps orchids were not native to Palestine in those days. The word does not appear in scripture.
Bonus correction: the tree refers to heaven – not the seed itself
It’s called an analogy
Among the seeds known by his listeners.
Bible = written by ignorant barbarians.
Oops, how embarrassing! That is, of course, the only error in the Bible. Isn’t it?
Oh please
Haven’t you heard of metaphor? Remember too that this was in the Greek language originally, so everything is not going to be 100% to our understanding, and certainly not to your understanding
The Bible was not written for scoffers
Will think who really wrote the bible the great all knowing sky fairy.
The mustard seed certainly was the smallest seed—that first-century Jews had anything to do with.
And Jesus is not saying that mustard seeds grow into trees, you can see that with the “but”. The Kingdom of Heaven is what starts out small like a mustard seed but grows to become a great tree.
Probably because the bible is one of a bunch of myths made up by early, unsophisticated humans to explain the world around them. Thankfully since then we have advanced both scientifically and philosophically and people are no longer foolish enough to believe in such nonsense.
The bible is not incorrect. The bible did not say, to the smallest seed. It just said a mustard seed. God knew what he was saying. Try reading that verse again.
The Bible also says the earth is a circle, not a sphere, a circle. Also, God created the rainbow after the earth was already populated by humans, so, apparently light refraction was nonexistent prior to this point. There are many more fallacies in the Bible.
Ahhh……perfect.
I just did a study on this. In the Jewish/Mid Eastern culture 2000 years ago, they did not grow orchids. So when Jesus said to have the faith of a mustard seed, he was talking about the smallest seed at that time in their culture. They would not have understood orchids. So you need to look at the context because you err.
Check your facts about the mustard plant ……. check all of your translations. The study will do you some good. Check your facts or you won’t sound smart, like you are trying to do.
Good attempt though, but this argument has been asked and answered several times.
Jesus was speaking figuratively here about how a small with a small amount of faith great things can be accomplished. And he does not a mustard seed but the GRAIN of a mustard seed which is even smaller!
YOU ARE MISTAKEN…
MUSTARD SEEDS BECOME TREES
CHECK THEM OUT…

while some may argue that the mustard grain is not the “tiniest”of all seeds, orchid seeds being smaller, and it does not actually become a ‘ tree ‘ it must be borne in mind that Jesus was speaking in terms familiar to his audience .as far as JESUS listeners were concerned the mustard grain was indeed AMONG the tiniest seeds planted ,and it is noteworthy that the Arabs designate as “trees” plants smaller than the mustard .
