Do you sometimes get a severe hankering for something gooey and cheesy? Cheese is a very versatile component for both meals and snacks. Whether you want a warm cheesy dish to chase away the winter chill, or a chilled hunk of cheese straight-up on a warm spring day, there are plenty of recipes to satisfy your craving. In this article, we’re going to list three great recipes that are sure to leave you with a happy tummy!

Cheese Stuffed Chicken Breasts

Ingredients:
4 chicken breasts
1 tablespoon of Parmesan cheese.
2 oz of mozzarella cheese
1 teaspoon chicken flavored bouillon
1 teaspoon parsley
1/4 cup of fine breadcrumbs
1 medium beaten egg
salt and pepper to taste

Make a long incision in each chicken breast and sprinkle the mozzarella inside. Secure the incision with a toothpick or string. Place the chicken breasts into a baking dish and brush each piece with the beaten egg. Mix the remaining ingredients together and sprinkle over the chicken. Cover the dish with aluminum foil and bake for 40 minutes at 375 degrees F.

Cheddar Ball

2 (8 ounce) blocks of cream cheese
1/2 cups relish
1 1/2 cups grated cheddar
2 teaspoons finely chopped onion
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup chopped nuts (slivered almonds work especially well)

Mix together everything but the nuts. Shape the mass into a ball and roll in the nuts so that it is completely coated. Place in an air-tight container or wrap with plastic wrap and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.

Cheddar ‘n Crab Meat Casserole

12 oz Crab meat
3 oz grated cheddar
3/4 cup skimmed milk powder
3 tablespoons of plain flour
1/4 teaspoon pepper
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon mustard powder
1 cup water

In a small pot mix the flour, mustard and milk powders, and salt and pepper. Add the water slowly—be sure to mix continuously as the mixture thickens. Remove from heat and stir in the cheese until melted. Add the crab meat. Pour the mixture into a casserole dish and bake at 350 degrees F until thoroughly cooked.

Cheese on Toast with a Twist

Toast
Grated Mozzarella
1 Slice of Swiss or Muenster Cheese
4 (Thin) Slices of Turkey or Ham Sandwich Meat
Salt and Pepper to Taste

Make toast to a medium brown in the toaster. Top with Swiss/Muenster slice, meat, salt and pepper, and top with sprinkled mozzarella. Heat in a toaster oven (or a regular oven if you’re willing to wait a bit) until cheese is melted and starts to brown.

Doc Broc Casserole
Shelley Redford Young

1 pkg. Smart Ground by LiteLife (soy protein substitute)
Florets from 2 large bunches of Broccoli (save leaves and stocks out, peel and clean stocks)
1 small bunch of fresh Basil or Tarragon stemmed and minced
1 cup soft Tofu
1 tsp. ground mustard seed
2/3 cup Olive Oil
1 pkg. Terra Red Bliss Potato Chips (I use the Olive Oil and fine herbs flavor)
Real Salt and Spice Hunter’s The Zip to taste.

Directions:

1. Steam Broccoli with a little water in a covered pan for about 4-5 minutes until Broccoli is bright green and just crisp/tender.

2. In a food processor, process the broccoli leaves and stocks until very fine(scrape down sides if necessary)

3.Then add the soft Tofu, mustard, basil, into the food processor with the fine broccoli mixture and process. With the processor running, slowly add the Olive Oil until mixture is well emulsified and creamy.

4. In a large Electric Fry Pan, heat a small amount of Oil and add the Soy Smart Ground, crumble it up and fry it for a couple of minutes, then add the steamed broccoli and pour the creamy sauce from the processor over the top and stir in well.

5. Take the bag of chips and mash them while in the bag with a rolling pin until they are crumbs. Then sprinkle over the top of the broccoli mixture and serve.Or return the lid to the fry pan and steam the mixture a bit to soften the chips and broccoli more. Add Real Salt and The Zip to taste….YUM!

Looking for the best gifts for men is of interest to most women, especially during the holiday gifting season. Women are busy looking for gifts for their husband, boyfriend, dad, or male business associates. This article provides some gift ideas for men.

The best way to select gifts for men is to see what their interest and passion might be. The gifts selected should be in line with what they like to eat or what they like to do at their leisure. Your gift can also remind him of you. Once you have decided what they like, you will find that the selected gifts can be sent not just for Christmas, but also for birthday, anniversary, or thank you.

Some gifts most men like include the following:

1. Meat and Cheese Gift:
Food gifts are the most popular gifts for any occasion. Most men enjoy meat and cheese. Thus, meat and cheese baskets are the most popular gifts for men. There are meat and cheese baskets designed especially for men. Your manly man can enjoy truly manly snacks and gourmet treats if you send him a sausage and nut tote gift basket. The basket is filled with Stone wheat crackers, Pepper Jack cheese, tomato basil cheese, garlic summer sausage, salami, cashews, honey sweet peanuts, and deluxe mixed nuts. The lovely wooden gift tote will last long after all the treats have disappeared.

Instead of sending a meat and cheese gift basket, you can also send these gifts in a tray, a lunch box, or in a gift pail. This is especially convenient for your recipient if he brings his lunch to work.

2. Executive gourmet Desk Caddy:
If your man works in the office, you may want to send him an executive desk caddy filled with gourmet snacks. Every man will be proud to display the desk caddy long after the goodies have been enjoyed. The savory snacks will ease the tension of the work day while the solid wood chest graces the office decor. The wood chest will also remind him of you while he is in his office.

3. Executive Antique Truck:
If the man in your life is an antique buff or the truck fanatic, you can send him an antique truck filled with gourmet treats. This beautiful solid wood antique truck carries lots of sweet and savory goodies that can be enjoyed at home or at the office. He will find “You’re A Winner” theme bag with fruit gems, chocolate chip cookies, caramels, gourmet coffee, crackers, fudge filled cookies, summer sausage, mustard and chocolates. After the goodies have been devoured, the lovely truck remains to grace his desk or mantel.

4. Golf Gifts:
Most men love sports, and golf is one of the popular sport. If your man loves golf, you can send him a golf gift basket or gift box. These golf themed gifts are filled to overflowing with snacks to eat and treats for the golf course. For example, in one of the gift box, they can find golfers fortune cookies, golf ball magnet, golf coffee mug, golf theme bag with honey sweet peanuts, hot pepper cheese, summer sausage, water crackers, seasoned pretzel dipping sticks, caramel corn, Greens keeper turf kit, birdie pack, golf tees, and chocolate cream filled wafer cookies. This is a great gift to the golfing husband, father, brother, or for corporate gifting. Other golf gifts may contain a book of golf wisdom. Alternatively, you can select a tote bag filled with all these treats and golfing goodies such that your golfer can carry these treats around during his games.

5. Fishing Gift:
If the man in your life enjoys fishing, then send him a fishing gift basket. The handsome creel gift bag contains The Wisdom of Fishing book with 350 pages of fishing antidotes and stories, as well as delicious treats to accompany his fishing trip, including: fisherman shortbread cookie, chocolate cream filled water roll, cheese dip, coffee, caramel corn, smoked almonds, and other goodies.

6. Nascar Gift:
If your man is a Nascar fan, he will be thrilled when the NASCAR Lovers gift basket arrives. The gift consists of a cooler filled with cheese, crackers and other snacks, and a history book of stock car racing which will entertain your NASCAR aficionado. The goodies will treat him as he reads.

7. Motorcycle Gifts:
For weekend warriors and motorcycle fans, they will love to receive a motorcycle themed gift basket. The basket is filled with motorcycle mementos, including: ceramic motorcycle bank, ceramic motorcycle picture frame, motorcycle coffee mug, bandana. They will also find gourmet snacks for their road trips, including Jack Daniels coffee, cheese snack mix, chocolate cream filled wafer cookies, water crackers, chocolate chip cookies, cheddar popcorn, and summer sausage. They will remember your thoughtfulness for years to come.

8. Bullseye Treats Dart board:
You can send your man a dart board with delicious treats. This unique exclusive gift is filled with delicious cheese, crackers, Smokey beef sausage, chocolate Wafer cookies, smoked almonds, caramel corn, and more. He can relax with the game while enjoy the treats. This deluxe dart board set is sure to hit its mark.

9. Football Gift Basket:
If your man is a die hard football fan, you can send an exclusive football gift basket. The red basket is filled with a ceramic football mug, ceramic football chip and dip plate, ceramic football desktop change holder, cheese & dip spreader, sports theme bag with deluxe snack mix, chunky salsa, roasted peanuts, sugar cookies, tortilla chips, white cheddar popcorn, and summer sausage. This unique gift will delight the football fanatics in your life.

10. Baseball Gift Basket:
Similarly, if your man is a baseball fan, you can send him a baseball gift basket. This baseball shaped tray is full of snacks, including, sunflower seeds, peanut butter pretzel nuggets, butter toffee pretzels, cinnamon sugar pita chips, Water crackers, caramel popcorn, smoked almonds, beef salami, hot pepper cheese, and cheese spread. The baseball fan can enjoy the game while eating these delicious snacks and throwing the soft baseball around.

In summary, in selecting the perfect gift for men, it is best to make your selection based on their passion and what they like to eat. Most men enjoy meat and cheese, so cheese and meat gift is probably the logical choice. Alternatively, You can send him an executive gourmet desk caddy or antique truck to grace his office. You can also send him a gift basket based on his favorite sport, including golf, fishing, Nascar, motorcycling, football, or baseball.

Food gift baskets are popular gifts for birthdays, the holidays, or for any special occasion. Unfortunately, prepackaged gift baskets can be expensive! They also can be wasteful, as what are the odds that the recipient will like all the foods in the basket? So why not be creative and make your own custom food gift basket? You can fill it up with foods the recipient will appreciate, and you can control the cost. You also can include homemade treats, and what’s more personal than that?

When making a gift basket, it’s a good idea to include foods that are nonperishable, or at least foods that don’t go bad quickly. Choose food containers that are attractive and look nice together. Try to avoid foods that are too bulky. And most important, choose foods the recipient likes!

Here are some ideas for homemade food gift baskets, gourmet food gift baskets, healthy food gift baskets, and convenience food gift baskets. Choose one of these themes, or mix and match!

1) Coffee or tea gift baskets are great ideas – they work well for the Holidays and for birthdays and special occasions. Plus they are so easy to accessorize and add little nuggets of joy. Start with 3 or 4 different types of gourmet coffee – using a good assortment. Mix heavy with dark and light and even throw in coffee from different regions. A good variety is always well received. Then add some nice accessories like coffee mugs and travel accessories. Finally add some biscuits or crackers and even some flavored creamers if you like. Chocolates, Nuts and candies add a wonderful final touch.

2) Homemade food gift baskets are great for the holidays, college exam week, or anytime a little comfort food is needed. Dress up a gift basket of prepared foods with a few homemade items for a personal touch. Some ideas for homemade gift basket treats:

· Cookies

· Quick breads

· Mini muffins

· Fruitcake

· Rice Krispie treats

· Hand dipped chocolate covered fruits and cookies

· Sealed jars of jam or jelly

· Sealed jars of salsa

2) Gourmet food gift baskets make great housewarming or holiday gifts. They’re great for foodies who love to cook, or for anyone who could use a few gourmet meals. Gourmet condiments often are available in small containers, so you can fill a basket with a variety of gourmet treats. Some ideas:

· Olive oil

· Balsamic vinegar

· Chutney

· Gourmet mustard or similar jarred condiments

· High quality chocolate bars, truffles, and other gourmet chocolates

· Marzipan candy

· Gourmet coffee or tea

· Gourmet cocoa for hot chocolate

· High quality, expensive spices, like saffron

· Cheese (but check the shelf life)

3) Healthy food gift baskets. These will make a welcome change of pace during the holidays, when everyone’s bombarded by cookies and candies. For a good balance, add some of these healthy treats into other gift baskets as well. Some ideas:

· Fruit with a long shelf life (apples, oranges, pears, etc.)

· Dried fruit, nuts, and trail mix

· Herbal tea or green tea

· Organic cookies, crackers, or similar healthy snack foods

· Mixes for hummus, vegetarian chili, fat free brownies, or other healthful items

· Low fat granola

4) Convenience food gift baskets. These are ideal for a new mother who doesn’t have enough time or free hands to eat! Fill these gift baskets with foods that are tasty, energizing, and ready to eat. Here are some ideas:

· Energy bars

· Cereal bars

· String cheese

· Bananas

· Goldfish crackers

· Microwavable containers of soup

· Cracker sandwiches with cheese or peanut butter filling

But with all the other things going on during the season, its hard to find the time to cook something nice for your guests. How can you put together a gourmet menu at the last minute.

You do not have to be a gourmet chef to cook like one, says Jill Blashack, president and CEO of Tastefully Simple, an easy to prepare gourmet foods company. I do not have time to cook, and many other people are in the same position.

The following are some tips from the experts at Tastefully Simple on how to be prepared at short notice for any kind of gathering this season More entertaining takes place during the holidays than all the rest of the year put together. Relatives come to visit, friends and neighbors drop by unexpectedly this time of year you have to be prepared for a party on short notice

Archive good recipes. From time to time you run across a recipe that would be great for entertaining a quick and easy soup, an interesting hors d’oeuvre, a good mulled cider mixture. Keep an active file of the ones you want to try so they are ready for you when you need them. This way you would not have to scramble when you need to find something to make at the last minute.

Keep important staples on hand at all times. There are certain items that your pantry should not be without during the holidays a variety of crackers, chips and mixed nuts cream cheese for a cheese ball sour cream for an easy dip; some fresh spices such as ginger, cinnamon and cloves for mulling and condiments such as mayonnaise, mustard, preserves and chutney. It is also a good idea to have a selection of beer, wine and soft drinks available.

Stock some items that can be ready to serve quickly. Even if you do not like to cook, you will be able to whip together a menu that will impress your friends and relatives with the help of a few Tastefully Simple products. Each one is either ready to serve, or can be prepared by adding just one or two additional ingredients.

Ensure your gathering will be a success with these simple, savory dips

Tastefully Simple Spinach & Herb Mix, Garlic Garlic and Bacon Bacon Mixes

1 and half cups sour cream

1 and half cups mayonnaise

3 large red or green bell peppers

Tastefully Simple Bountiful Beer Bread Mix

(ARA) – More entertaining takes place during the holidays than all the rest of the year put together. Relatives come to visit, friends and neighbors drop by unexpectedly — this time of year you have to be prepared for a party on short notice.

But with all the other things going on during the season, it’s hard to find the time to cook something nice for your guests. How can you put together a gourmet menu at the last minute?

“You don’t have to be a gourmet chef to cook like one,” says Jill Blashack, president and CEO of Tastefully Simple, an easy-to-prepare gourmet foods company. “I don’t have time to cook, and many other people are in the same position.”

The following are some tips from the experts at Tastefully Simple on how to be prepared at short notice for any kind of gathering this season:

* Archive good recipes. From time to time you run across a recipe that would be great for entertaining: a quick and easy soup, an interesting hors d’oeuvre, a good mulled cider mixture. Keep an active file of the ones you want to try so they are ready for you when you need them. This way you won’t have to scramble when you need to find something to make at the last minute.

* Keep important staples on hand at all times. There are certain items that your pantry shouldn’t be without during the holidays: a variety of crackers, chips and mixed nuts; cream cheese for a cheese ball; sour cream for an easy dip; some fresh spices such as ginger, cinnamon and cloves for mulling and condiments such as mayonnaise, mustard, preserves and chutney. It’s also a good idea to have a selection of beer, wine and soft drinks available.

* Stock some items that can be ready to serve quickly. Even if you don’t like to cook, you’ll be able to whip together a menu that will impress your friends and relatives with the help of a few Tastefully Simple products. Each one is either ready to serve, or can be prepared by adding just one or two additional ingredients.

Ensure your gathering will be a success with these simple, savory dips:

Tastefully Simple Spinach & Herb Mix, Garlic Garlic and Bacon Bacon Mixes

1 1/2 cups sour cream

1 1/2 cups mayonnaise

3 large red or green bell peppers

Tastefully Simple Bountiful Beer Bread Mix

12 ounce beer (or any carbonated beverage)

3 tablespoons butter, melted

Prepare all three dip mixes with sour cream and mayonnaise as directed on packaging; chill in separate bowls for 2 hours. Prepare Bountiful Beer Bread Mix with beer and butter as directed on package; cools and cube. Carefully slice tops off bell peppers, seed, core; reserve lids. Fill each pepper with one of the prepared dips. Place filled peppers next to lids on lettuce-leaf-lined plate; serve alongside basket of Bountiful Beer Bread cubes for dipping. Makes 3 cups dip.
