You could use an accent wall but I wouldn’t… I think navy blue goes great with mustard yellow I would use navy and some white to accent this color… Hope this helps and good luck…

my last home had a mustard yellow living room and I used brick red (a combo of a deep red and maroon, I’d say) for window treatments and accent pillows. It was nice and if you get tired of the reddish color, you can change it to a deep brown or something else by just getting new window treatments, pillows, etc.
Or, an idea is to take the paint sample with you and find a funky pattern that appeals to you for cool accents. Sometimes I will find a really neat pillow case or sham with a retro pattern on it that goes with our current colors. This may be at a thrift store or discount store.
    Have fun!

I wouldn’t use an accent wall but I would accent with red or teal. Find a print that you love that incorporates mustard and red, or blues. Check these out:

Sometimes the right piece of art, a pillow, or a fabric can inspire the entire room scheme.

play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find something that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the “painted” rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a dark brown like “rugged brown” (# 6062) would look wonderful.

You can also take a photo of your room & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:
    http://www.roomvues.com/
You can get color suggestions & they’ll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.
