    Yes it is normal.

Green is normal if he’s getting forumla. Only breast milk makes the neon yellow color. My son had formula and breats milk and you could always tell which one he was pooping out.Pretty soon it will start to get less often too, that’s also fine. Babies can go up to 4 or 5 days without a BM but that usually doens’t start until 3 or 4 months.

baby poop comes in many different colors, smells, and textures. It happens as they age and also when you are introducing new foods. If you’ve recently switched from breastmilk to formula, that could be why. You’re milk could be drying up if you haven’t been very successful breast feeding. I would try supplementing with formula. but be aware that this could also make the poop stink worse, change color and texture.

yes it is very normal young infants poop tend to change color alot

If he is pooping, he is obviously getting enough to eat. As far as the color change goes I am not sure, as my daughter has always had the “mustard” poops. It wouldn’t hurt to give the pediatrician a call if you are concerned…

I would check with the Dr . Breast fed babies should have the yellow seedy poop.Green may be a cause for concern.

Green stools could be normal; it depends. If he has one once in a while it’s probably nothing to worry about. But if it happens all the time there could be a problem:

    Note the appearance of it.

Mucousy and runny could mean he is allergic to something you are eating. Examine your diet and eliminate possible allergens.

Frothy , indicates foremilk/hindmilk imbalance and is caused by either 1. not feeding often enough 2. switching sides too often during a feeding , or 3. ending feedings too soon.

watery and easily absorbed (diarrhea) means that something is causing the stool to move too quickly through the digestive tract. Antibiotics could cause this; or possibly a stomach bug or something.

Sometimes that will also happen upon introduction of formula .

With my kids it was 1st wk of life was black stool, then it got that bright yellow lol so ugly too look at jeje, then after a month or so it got greenish but sometimes u see that neon yellow lol, n now that my son is a toddler is when its starting to get to that brownish color. Sorry if it was TMI.

There are many colors of baby poop. Even breast fed babies can have green stools – the colors range from bright yellow to gray. So long as it’s not hard pebbles (dehydration), black, or red, the baby is probably okay.

Green and frothy usually means your baby is getting mostly foremilk (low calorie), not the hindmilk (fat and calorie rich).

How long does he nurse on one side for? He needs to be on one breast per feeding (unless he is still hungry), unlike what the hospital tells you (10 mins on each side). OR You may have a foremilk/hindmilk imbalance.
