Is spicy brown mustard differnt than regular brown mustard?

My mom is saying that spicy brown mustard is the same as regular brown mustard. However my brother and I think differently. We both think there is a distinct difference in taste and spiciness. I decided to ask you, the people of the internet to decide. Please help us. Thanks.
