I have a recipe for mustard sauce that contains eggs and flour but no cooking. Is this safe?

Instead of safe..I should have said…what about the raw flour? Have always thought you should cook flour before eating it.

    As long as the eggs have a lion mark (if you’re in the UK) or the equivalent, then they are safe to eat raw.

    You should probably still avoid giving raw eggs to the elderly, very young children and sick people.

    I think a sauce that has flour and is not cooked sounds strange. It takes some cooking to get rid of the raw flour taste out.
    If you want to make the sauce and it does not have any further cooking make sure you use fresh eggs, ones that have no cracks. Or you could use the boxed eggs like eggbeaters or there are whole shell eggs on the market that have been pasteurized.

    I think your in the USA..
    Today’s standards for the dairy and poultry are so HIGH they are better than the Jewish kosher..

    You do not give the recipe
    But I would bet vinegar is the preservative..
