I have 2 burning bushes. There is yellow mustard like stuff on the ground by them. What is it?

It does look like a dog was sick, that is what I thought at first that the dog was sick but then realized that he wont go by the bushes.

Could it be pollen that is liquified?

I’m guessing that the yellow stuff is a fungus. Does it look like a dog upchucked? It’s a fungus. Just flip it over and it will dry, then you can remove it without making a mess. It’s no big deal and it won’t harm the plants nearby. Just an unpleasant surprise from Mother Nature.

ashes…LOL I would say the fungus thing sounds right to me. I have noticed it around my pine straw this year. Although you have to admit ashes would be around burning bushes!
