Can Gulden’s Spicy Brown mustard be swapped out for “dijon” mustard in a vinegrette recipe?

And not be noticable?

  1. MOZ says:

    Yes and no.
Dijon mustard is made with wine. Dijon wine, from the Dijon region in France.

ANY mustard can be used in ANY recipe calling for mustard. I doubt you will taste much difference in a vinagrette recipe. Now, if you use “Beer and Brat Mustard,” which has horseradish in it, you would notice it, because that vinagrette would be quite lively on the tongue, but the Spicy brown should do you fine.
